Back to the real world for Sarah.

So things will be changing tomorrow, I go back to work and Scott will be home with Wesley for the next 3 weeks.  I'm excited to go back to work but it will be hard to be without the baby all day, I've gotten so used to it!  So Wesley can roll both left and right from his tummy, and he is starting to push up on his elbows more.  He has also taken to sitting on our laps as it gives him a bigger view of the room.  Sometimes he gets upset because we're holding him and he just wants to sit up!

Here are some pics from the week, he is now 3 months old!

He likes to lay on the floor and kick and punch his arms all over the place.

It took me forever to actually get him to look at me while he was on his tummy, he wanted to look at everything else.

I believe he is looking at daddy in this picture.

And here it seemed like he wanted to roll over but was a bit too tired out to get very far.

Rolling Over

So we had another physical therapy appointment today. Wesley did not like it much and cried after a lot of the new exercises, which make him work on his neck much more. The physical therapist was impressed with his progress so we don't have to go in for 2 weeks. So one of Wesley's new exercises is to lay him on is back with his right arm pulled above his head then you pull his left leg over, the goal is that he will "pop" his head up before you get him mostly rolled over. Well, we were doing these exercises tonight and after a couple times I had left him propped up on his elbows on his tummy and he rolled over to his back! I thought it was just an accident so I tried it again and he did it 2 more times. We were very excited! He is still a little wobbly on holding up his head sometimes, but these exercises we've been doing with him are really helping him get stronger! It's so much fun to see him learn.

Sitting all propped up on the couch, he's slowly sitting better.

The happy little man, he smiles, coos, gurlges and now buzzes his lips all the time.

Apparently the best place to sleep: on mommy.

Wesley Makin Noises

This isn't the best quality video, I took this with my camera but he was being too cute.  That's mommy in the background making noises and faces at Wesley.

This Week in Pictures

Mother's Day:

Wesley with Grandma and Great-Grandma

Scott feeding Wesley.

 All tuckered out...

Random Photos:

Wesley getting ready to go visit uncle Aaron.

The calm before the storm..as soon as the washcloth touched him he started screaming.

 Our little angel :).

This is the best picture we could get of the "Superman" pose he's been doing lately.

Holding his head up...he's getting very good at this and even with just a few days of his physical thereapy exercises we've noticed a big difference in his looking to the left more.

Wesley has also taken to mimicking mouth noises more, today he was trying so had to copy mommy buzzing her lips, though he would get a waterfall of slobber pouring out of his mouth and just blew bubbles instead!

Wesley's Stats

Wesley had his 2 month check up yesterday, which was actually a week late but his doctor was out of town. He weighs 11 and half lbs and is 22 inches long, so for a 5 week period he gained almost 3 lbs and only an inch this time. He is perfectly healthy, however during the exam he refused to turn his head to his left and his head is slightly flatter on the right side meaning he is favoring it over his left. The doctor tried making noise on his let side then had me talk to him to try to get him to turn and he just wouldn't do it. There is also a reflex babies have where if you pull one arm straight they will turn their head to that side and curl up the other arm. This reflex worked for his right side but not his left. Because this can become a problem later on we are going to go see a physical therapist to have him further evaluated. He may have just been being stubborn because I have seen him sleep with his head to the left and I usually hold him with his head in my left arm so he has to turn his head to the left to see the tv. We will probably just have to pay more attention and do special exercises with him to make sure both sides develop equally. He also recieved his first big round of shots, which I thought he handled pretty well considering he got stuck 4 times! He cried for about a minute then fell asleep and slept pretty much all afternoon. Then about 6 hours after the shots he just started screaming. The nurse had said not to give him any medicine because they can mask a reaction but he seemed to be in so much pain we went ahead and gave him some tylenol and about 15 minutes later he quieted down and fell asleep in my arms. I figured that if he hadn't had a reaction yet he probably wasn't going to have one. Plus the information the nurse gave me said to go head and give tylenol...silly when people give you conflicting information!

Beautiful Weather

So finally the weather is beautiful out so we decided to grab Wesley and Charlie and venture out for a walk.  This isn't Wesley's first walk, but it was the first time he was awake for one!

Here he is all strapped in to his stroller

And here's Scott wavin hello...

This is our dog Charlie, he loves going on walks but likes to investigate a little too much.

A little boy was out playing with his remote control car and decided to drive it toward Charlie...He did not like it and tried his hardest to run away eventhough he was on a leash.

I hate pictures of myself, which is why you will hardly see any, but this one is ok I guess.

And some pictures of the pretty tulips:

This one is actually in our front yard...we do absolutely no yard work except Scott mows the lawn so its nice to see things still grow!

And here's some cute pictures from this week:

Visiting Family

So Wesley got to spend some time with family this week and of course there are pictures!  On Sunday Richard and Sue came over for dinner and a movie but mostly just to ooh and ahh at the adorable Wesley :)

Here's Wesley chillin with Grandma

Watching tv, I've never seen a baby this young so interested in tv!

With Grandpa

Then last night we went down to Grandma Bryant's house so Aunt Carla could finally meet Wesley.  Erin and her family dropped by for awhile.  It was really cute to see the girls with the baby.

Here's Carla holding the very sleepy Wesley

And here's some more with Grandma...

And here's Scott...chugging down his drink (just water he says)

And for fun, a very super happy Wesley!
