6 Months Part 2

So we finally got Wesley's 6 month check up last week and he is just over 17 pounds and just about 26 inches long. They had a new shot, a 3 in one, so he only had to get shot 2 times in stead of 4 so he got over it much quicker. I also had the wonderful pleasure of staying home for 2 days to take care of him as he got pretty sick Monday afternoon. He developed a fever and seemed to just have a pretty bad cold. He's mostly better now, just a runny nose and he's back to playing and trying to get his hands on everything. He's started to creep: pushing with his feet and pulling himself with his arms to move forward. It is so funny to watch but amazing how fast he can move that way! He's also added "D" to his vocabulary so he is saying "dadadada" though it's just gibberish at the moment.

Super happy!

He rolled himself up in the blanket and then started eating it.

Still his favorite place to play.

And the beautiful flowers Scott got me for our anniversary (the 17th). We went out for dinner at the Melting Pot in Tacoma...very tasty fondue :)

And a silly video, enjoy!

The Puyallup

So we went to the Puyallup Fair yesterday. We had a lot of fun and everywhere we went people stopped to tell us how cute Wesley was...I love that! He did great with all the noise, it doesn't seem to bug him at all and he even fell fast asleep. We bought some stuff, saw some animals and caught the hypnotist show (always funny). On a side note, we are having much fun with Wesley rolling around everywhere...he's even been surprising his teachers at daycare with his ability to roll across the room in less than a minute.

I will get camera!
Must grab! He's been grabbing our faces like crazy.
This is the only picture where Wesley looks like his mommy when she was a baby.
The main object of his desire when rolling around the floor...the infamous coffee table!
I will get you!
He got himself stuck on the leg of the coffee table...

Labor Day

So this last weekend my mom and sister came over for a visit. We spent Saturday have fun at the Point Defiance Zoo. Wesley has still be battling his cold, same as me, but he still seemed to have fun and he's finally starting to eat better so maybe the sickness is almost done for him. I also have to mention that I find it absolutely adorable that he can, and usually wants, to put his pacifier in by himself. When I put him in his car seat to got o daycare he does not want his pacifier, he wants to play with his toy. About halfway there he gets quiet and when I look back at him he's fallen asleep and sure enough the pacifier is in his mouth. So cute! Anyways, here are some pictures from our fun-filled end-of-summer blast:

The always adorable Wesley (notice the pacifier in his hands):

The pretty tiger...he seemed to be posing for all the cameras :)
The Lemurs, so incredibly cute...this one almost looks human sunbathing on a rock:

6 Months

Happy half-birthday to Wesley! He is 6 months old today, I can't believe it! He also got his first cold, poor kid has quite the stuffy nose. We got colds at the same time and now Scott has it. But Wesley is a trooper, only mildly discomforted it seems. He is taking to daycare well, as am I...it helps to be distracted by work. So here's some cute pics of our growing boy:

Sitting on the couch in his adorable Old Navy outfit.
In his rolling rampages he tends to come across obstacles...
Almost sitting up on his own!
I love how his ears have started to stick out! And you can see his teeth pretty good in this pic.
This is no obstacle, he purposely rolls under the coffee table to play with the bars..then he hits his head on them when he keeps rolling!

Last Week of Freedom.

So today we had planned on making it a lazy Sunday but instead we decided to go to the awesome furniture store in Sumner (The Old Cannery) and buy an entryway table we've been waiting like a year to get! Afterward, we drove down to Orting and walked a bit on the foothills trail. It was pretty smoggy so you couldn't see Mt. Rainier too well but I got a few good pics along the way:

And, of course, random Wesley photos of him being incredibly cute!

Here he is trying to suck on his foot, he can actually get both of them in there at the same time!

He's discovered looking at things upside down, so he is always squirming around to see what's behind him.
Standing up and exploring the coffee table, don't worry mommy has a hand on him!
I had left the room for a minute and came back to this, not sure why he did this but it didn't seem to bug him.
Having fun with daddy, using him as a trampline!
Chillin outside and enjoying the cool evening.
Wesley has one more week at home before mommy goes back to work. I have work on Monday and Tuesday next week then some time to get my classrooms ready before our first official day back on the 2nd. We found a good daycare and I'm excited to get back to work, but it really sucks to have to put Wesley in daycare all day!

It's Been Awhile...

So, I haven't posted any pictures in quite awhile, I've got so many great pics from the last few weeks! Visiting the family was great, it's always nice to see them and to see our cute little nephew grow up. We also got Wesley a new toy, it's a seat that helps him learn to sit plus it has toys all around it, he went nuts over it! Wesley can now also roll all over the place, he seemed to have forgotten how to roll from his tummy to his back for awhile but now he's rolling both ways and we have to keep putting him back in the middle of the blanket. So, enjoy the pics!

Being cute in his overalls:
