Cutie Pie

Wesley is being a little trooper!  Both his front bottom teething are coming in, and boy they seem to be coming in fast!  He's been playing with them constantly, using his tongue to feel them and in the process pushing out much more slober.  He's also taken to biting his lower lip...Scott has some funny pictures taken of biting his own lower lip, something his friends love to tease him about.  So when Wesley started doing it, of course everyone thought "like father, like son!"  So I had to get some pictures.  Scott won't let me post a pic of him so the one of Wesley will have to do.

And I just love this picture, he fell asleep hugging one of those blanket rattles after he had been playing with it like crazy.

This weekend we are going to go visit my family in Ephrata, so hopefully we will have some good pictures to post and hopefully it won't be too hot!

Exciting!

So Wesley was chewing on my finger...and much to my surprise something felt a little strange...I finally got a good look:

It's a bit hard to see, but that is the very tip of a tooth! If you click on the picture I think you can see it better when it's bigger.

4th of July

Wesley had his 4th of July, only there weren't any fireworks. Apparently they are illegal in Lacey. We had a lovely bbq at Scott's parents house with some friends and had much fun playing the Wii. Wesley is doing pretty well with his cereal and will be starting a new kind soon. He loves sitting up and being held which means mommy doesn't get much done during the day. Though I love hanging out with him it means hardly any cleaning or laundry gets done, but I guess a dirty house is worth it :).

Hanging out with our friend Brion, or "Uncle Rock Star" as he likes to be called:

Rolling over, he does it so quickly!

Sitting with mommy, he's just too cute!

4 Months

Wesley is now 4 months old! I can't believe it. He had his check up today and everything is going great, he's such a good baby. He is almost 14 1/2 lbs and he is 25 inches long. He's been a little fussy from his shots but he's hanging in there. The last few weeks Wesley has been strange with is eating habits and my going going back to work is probably what messed everything up. I've been back for a week and half and we've been having a hard time getting my milk supply back up, and since he's been on mostly formula he's been eating more often because he's not getting the amount of calories he would from breastmilk. So the doctor suggested going ahead and starting him on rice cereal since he's almost hit the limit on how much milk babies should have. So we decided to give it a try tonight and I must say he really seemed to love it! And he automatically just opened up his mouth for the spoon and I think more was swallowed than came back out. It was also a lot of fun for us! We have a really great high chair that reclines so he is able to sit it in eventhough he can't sit on his own yet.

Chillin in his high chair.

After his first spoonful...not quite sure what to think!

He sometimes made a weird face, not sure if he liked the taste!

Guess he decided he didn't want to swallow that bite.

The happy boy, in between bites he'd screech and smile like crazy.  He loved being able to sit.

And some more pictures for fun..these are of him playing:

Summertime

So, as we have no air conditioning, the last few days have not been very fun!  Wesley has been a trooper though, while a little fussy at the hottest point of the day it doesn't seem to bug him too much.  I wish we could take him swimming, but no sunscreen until he's six months old!  So we can go to an indoor pool, but where's the fun in that during the summer?!  This past weekend Scott was at a lan party so I spent the whole weekend alone with Wesley.  My parents and brother came over Saturday to hang out for the day, it was fun, though the heat was annoying!  I didn't get any pictures but I have some video I might get on here someday.  I swear my dad got Wesley to giggle but we can't seem to get him to do it again!  He also discovered his feet and spends a good amount of time each day just grabbing them.  Oh and Scott started his new job today!

Play time, he's always trying to grab his toys but he hasn't quite                             figured out how to do it.

He likes to eat hands...anybody's hands.

And he just crapped out.

He rolls over all the time now, even if he doesn't really want                               to...he'll find himself on his tummy and just start crying.

Still sort of happy on his tummy...

And now I give up!

Cutest Baby Ever.

So we were playing with Wesley with stuffed animals for the first time, he just recently started grabbing things.  He was all over the toys and of course putting them in his mouth whenever he could.  But I got some of the cutest pictures of him and just had to show you all (the last one is our favorite).

School's Out!

School is finally out and I get to spend the summer with Wesley! The end of school went well, I did find it slightly annoying to get back to work and things weren't where I left them and I had to deal with all the kids complaining, but we got to the end all in one piece! This year was different than last in that the kids actually liked me I think, haha! I had a lot of requests to sign yearbooks (none last year), got a dozen hugs and even a few gifts. And when I came to work on the last day of school there was a "We will miss you" poster on the wall of my building from some of my 8th graders. I brought Wesley with me and he had much fun staring at the goofy kids who tried everything to get him to smile. It was good fun, and since I am leaving one school to go work at another I got a bit of a farewell from the school I'm leaving. And now my summer plans include playing with Wesley, got a few doctor's appointments for him and the dog...we are going to a concert in a few weeks (Jimmy Eat World) and I have some work I have to do to complete my contract. So I won't be too bored! Oh yeah, and Wesley can roll over both ways now!! We knew he could because he'd be on his back then next time we'd look at him he'd be on his tummy, but we finally got to see it on Saturday when we were at a graduation party.

Here's Wesley with Chelsea Burnes at her HS graduation party:

And here's one of Wesley's wonderful goofy faces:
